The Pelican

In 1973 the Housing Development Board of Singapore initiated a series of playgrounds designed by Mr Khor Ean Ghee. It captured the imagination of all Singaporeans with a distinctively local flavour built around archetypes of swings and see-saws. The playgrounds have slowly been phased out in the name of progress, however their image has strengthened over time and now become entrenched within Singapore’s national identity.

The Pelican is a candle holder available in two versions. This small version holds a tealight candle and is available in three different finishes : Red with Natural wood, Blue with Natural wood and Natural Wood in two tones.
